The University of Technology in Compiegne (UTC) is both a French public university and an engineering school, with autonomous training and pedagogy and an innovation-intensive, interdisciplinary technological research programme delivered to more than 4000 students. It is a founding member of “Alliance Sorbonne Université”.

UTC is among the very best engineering school in France. It is a place of academic excellence where interdisciplinary and innovation are supported both in education and research.

UTC produces graduates (engineers, Master degree, PhDs) capable of considering the interactions of technologies with Mankind and Society at large and of evolving in a world-scale competitive environment, with the aim of complying with sustainable development policies.

The UTC lecturers, research scientists and engineers “lend meaning to innovation”, enabling the emergence of new axes underpinning this concept, introducing entrepreneurship principles in the heart of their concerns.

    • Engineering Bachelors: Mechanics, Biomedical, Computer engineering, Chemistry, Civil engineering,
    • Engineering Masters: Humanities and Creative Industries, Complex SE, Chemistry, Health-care Engineering, Economic Analysis and Policy.

With about 35000 students and 1800 faculty members, University of Genoa (UNIGE), located in Genoa, Italy, is one of the largest universities in Italy, organized in 5 Schools offering overall 125 First Degree courses and 90 Second Degree masters.

Research activities in SE at UNIGE are carried out at the Department of Informatics Bioengineering Robotics and Systems Engineering (DIBRIS), which is part of the Polytechnic School of the University of Genoa.

The Polytechnic School originates from two former Faculties, namely the Faculties of Engineering and Architecture. Throughout the last decade, first the Faculty of Engineering and then the Polytechnic School have been consistently ranked among the top five Schools and Faculties in Italy.

The annual research revenue of DIBRIS is about €4M euros coming from contracts with the European Commission, national and international companies and regional and national public sources.

DIBRIS is currently offering the following courses:

    • Engineering Bachelors: Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering
    • Engineering Masters: Bioengineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Digital Humanities, Data Science and Engineering
    • International Double Degree: JMARO (Robotics Engineering), EMECIS (Systems Engineering).
    • In the last academic year, UNIGE master courses in information and industrial engineering have been classified in 1st position in the related national ranking (Censis source, 2021).

The Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya BarcelonaTech (UPC) is a public institution of research and higher education in the fields of engineering, architecture, sciences and technology, and one of the leading technical universities in Europe.

The institution offers 64 Bachelor degrees, 67 Master degrees and 46 octoral programmes to 28.000 students and is organized in 18 schools with a total of 3100 faculty and research staff. The Barcelona East School of Engineering (EEBE) on the new Diagonal-Besòs Campus of the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC) was founded in the 2016–2017 academic year.

The school has a total of 3,500 students and 400 professors and researchers and offers a total of 7 Bachelor degrees, 4 Master degrees and 3 PhD programs.

    • Engineering Bachelors: Mechanics, Biomedical, Electronics & Automation, Energy, Electrical, Chemistry, Materials Science

The Polytechnic University is an Albanian state University established in 1951. From 2007, UPT consists of six faculties which Information Technology (FIT), Mathematics & Physics Engineering (FMEPE), Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Architecture and Urbanism and Geology and Mining. Polytechnic University of Tirana is habilitated to deliver 21 Bachelor degrees, 18 professional Masters and 19 Master of Science programs, and finally 9 doctoral school programs.
